General Electric has developed the DS200LDCCH1AKA board as a drive control and local area network (LAN) communication board. The card was developed by General Electric for its Mark V series drive board. The exciter and driver of the GE DIRECTO-MATIC 2000 series can install this card in its cabinet. Onboard microprocessor arrays provide many interface functions for drives. This includes LAN communication, driver reset, motor and driver processing, and operator interfaces.

The coverage of I/O and driver control settings is provided by four microprocessors integrated on the DS200LDCCH1AKA board. One of the onboard processors is the LAN Control Processor (LCP). The LCP is responsible for receiving and converting five different bus systems fed to the drive. The DS200LDCCH1AKA also includes a drive control processor (DCP) for controlling peripheral I/O devices such as timers and encoders. The driver has a motor control processor (MCP) that handles I/O communication and the circuitry of the motor control system. If the processing capacity of the DS200LDCCH1AKA MCP cannot meet the needs of the job, the co motor processor (CMP) will provide the additional processing capacity required. Users can easily access any onboard system diagnostics and settings through the included alphanumeric keypad.
